Mix'd Get the App

Privacy Policy

The short version: the app keeps everything on your phone, this website counts visits only if you say yes, and nothing is ever sold to anyone.

What This Website Collects

If you accept on the cookie banner, this site loads Google Analytics 4. It sets a cookie so it can tell a returning visitor from a new one, and it records the sort of thing every analytics tool records.

Your IP address is anonymised before it is stored. We do not use Google Signals, we do not run advertising or remarketing, and we have not linked this site to any ad platform.

Why We Collect It

One reason, honestly. This site has 869 flavour pages and a growing pile of guides, all written and rated by one person. Analytics tell us which of them people actually read, so we know what to rate, write and fix next.

If a guide gets read to the end and a category page gets closed in four seconds, that is useful. It is the difference between guessing at what is helpful and knowing. That is the whole purpose, and it is why the banner asks rather than assumes.

What We Never Do

The App Is Different, and Simpler

Mix'd on Android has no account and no server. Your lounges, sessions, ratings, stash and preferences are written to storage on your own phone and stay there. We cannot see them, because they never leave the device.

The app has its own separate, optional analytics toggle in settings, off until you turn it on. Your name, if you enter one, is used only to personalise what you see on screen and never leaves your phone.

Changing Your Mind

Your choice is stored in this browser rather than on a server. To change it, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will ask again on your next visit. Declining is permanent until you do that, and nothing is loaded in the meantime.

You can also install Google's official opt-out browser add-on, which blocks Analytics on every site you visit.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what data is held about you, ask for it to be deleted, or object to it being processed. In practice we hold nothing that identifies you, so there is usually nothing to return or delete, but ask anyway if you want to check.

Email mixdshisha@gmail.com and you will get a reply from the person who built this, because there is only one of us.
